northern.colorado.bears.logo.pngCU-buffs-logo.pngMy name is Jessica Asher. I was raised in Louisville and am a graduate from BVSD! I am so proud to be back in the district as a teacher. I did my undergraduate studies in Greeley at the University of Northern Colorado where I also danced and coached the dance team at the university. I then started my teaching career in North Boulder at Foothill Elementary where I taught Kindergarten and Fourth grade. I then moved to a school in Louisville called Fireside Elementary. There, I taught Kindergarten and Third grade in the same year! Throughout all of my teaching, I have been attending the University of Colorado at Boulder for graduate school and four other teachers at Ryan are in my program. I fell in love with their philosophy and work ethic and when a position opened at Ryan, I jumped at the opportunity to be able to work here! Although my past teaching experiences have been inconsistent, one thing is the same, I love to wake up every day, because I get to work with your students and all the others in my past, or yet to come.

In my free time, I have continued my love of dance by teaching at a local studio, working with many high school dance teams, and I still dance with a professional company called Dream Project. My family and I live in Westminster currently and fall is our favorite season because it is full of football! Go Broncos! Other than football, we love to get together with all of our family members and visit friends.

Overall, I enjoy family, teaching, dancing, and laughing. I try to find the positive in everything and consider myself a hard worker. I am happy to be a teacher at Ryan STEAM School and look forward to all the people and students I will get to meet and work with.
