Bev Sanders

    TEACHER

    2nd grade
This will be my first year teaching at Ryan Elementary, however, all
three of my kids attended Ryan, and I previously taught Junior Great
Books and did SAC here, so I am excited to be back! I have spent the past
18 years teaching in Lafayette (2 years at Pioneer, 1 year at Lafayette
and 15 years at Sanchez) and 17 years coaching volleyball at Centaurus
    HS.

I grew up in Lakewood, CO and graduated from Jefferson High School. I
played volleyball and received my undergraduate degree in English with a
minor in Journalism from California State Stanislaus, and spent three
years as a Sports Writer for the local paper covering high school and
college sports. My family and I returned to Colorado in 1992, and I
received my Masters Degree in Elementary Education from CU Boulder in
1997. I also received my ELL endorsement and was a TAG Coordinator while
at Sanchez. I have taught 2nd, 4th and 5th grades, and am excited to be
teaching 4th grade again this year!

When I’m not teaching, I love to spend time with my three kids, my new
grandbaby, my family and my dogs! I love being outdoors, playing and
coaching volleyball, reading, coffee and traveling! I have trips planned
this fall to visit my youngest daughter in Austin, TX where she is
coaching volleyball for the University of Texas, to visit my son in
Logan, UT where is coaching football for Utah State, and to Colorado
Springs to visit my oldest daughter and my grandson!
I look forward to a fun year meeting new students and their families and
working with the awesome staff here at Ryan!
